What Does It Take to Be Named a Rising Star?
Each year, Super Lawyers Magazine rates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievements.
To be selected by Super Lawyers Magazine, an attorney must demonstrate:
- Favorable verdicts and settlements
- Satisfied clients
- Education and experience
- Activity within the legal industry or community
- Other outstanding achievements
Additionally, the attorneys’ peers must evaluate and recommend them for final selection. After nominations, independent research, and peer evaluation, Super Lawyers Magazine only selects about 5% of attorneys nationwide. Lawyers who are 40 or younger – or who have been in practice for 10 years or less – can be selected to its Rising Stars list. Again, only 2.5% of attorneys in the United States receive the Rising Stars designation.
